Hosting & domains

Website hosting, domains and email, explained simply.

Understand what you are paying for and who can help when something goes wrong.

Your domain is your website address. Hosting keeps the website online. Business email gives you an inbox using your business name. We help you understand how these services fit together, review what you already have and arrange a suitable setup with the costs, renewals and responsibilities explained before you agree.

No technical knowledge needed. Tell us what is happening; we explain the next step and agree the cost before paid work starts.

Does this sound familiar?

Bring the important details into one clear plan.

You do not know who controls your website address

A domain can be registered with one company while the website and email sit elsewhere. We help identify the services involved and what access is needed. The aim is clear ownership, accurate contact information and a sensible renewal record. A domain transfer is only planned with the account holder’s authority and with its existing services understood.

You want to move hosting without losing your email

Moving a website can affect email if the domain records are changed incorrectly. We review the website, domain and existing mail setup before recommending a move. The plan identifies what needs to change and what should remain. Please keep your current services active until the new setup is tested and the handover is agreed.

You need an email address that matches your business

An address such as hello@yourbusiness.co.uk can make contact details easier to recognise. Tell us the domain and number of inboxes you need, and whether old messages must be moved. We check the suitable provider, storage, access and costs before proposing a service. Mailbox licences, migration and ongoing support are explained as separate items where relevant.

You want a clear price instead of a surprise renewal

We explain initial charges, recurring fees and renewal terms before you commit. A domain is normally registered for an annual period, while hosting and mail may have different billing arrangements. If an introductory offer is available for your agreed service, both the discounted period and later price should be shown clearly. We confirm availability rather than assume a domain or service is ready.

Not sure what the problem is called?

That is fine. Describe what you see, what you have tried or what you would like to happen. We will help you work out the right service.

What happens next

One step at a time.

1

Tell us what you have

Send your website address and the names of any providers you know. If you need a new domain or email, explain the preferred name and inboxes. It is fine if you do not know every detail.

2

Check the setup and costs

We review compatibility, access and any migration work. You receive an explanation of the proposed service, charges and renewals. Hosting-only and email requests are checked before a service is sold or moved.

3

Make the agreed change

Once the arrangement is agreed, we plan setup or migration, check the important functions and record the service details. You know where the domain, website and email sit and how to ask for support.

Your questions,
answered.

How much is hosting for the free DexCloud website?

Hosting is £19.99/month after the 10-day free trial, with no separate charge for the included website design and setup. One available standard .co.uk or .uk domain is included after the first hosting payment, with renewal while hosting stays active. Business email is separate. Service plans can be bought without hosting; existing hosting charges continue alongside a service plan.

Can I buy hosting without having a new website built?

You can enquire about hosting for an existing website. We first check its platform, requirements and migration needs so we can offer a suitable service. This is an assessed request, not an automatic promise that every website can move onto the same package.

Can you register or transfer a domain for me?

Tell us the address you want or the domain you already own. We check availability, ownership, registrar requirements and current pricing before agreeing the work. Registration, transfer and renewal costs can differ. A domain is not secured until its registration has been confirmed.

Can I keep the domain and email I already use?

Usually. You may be able to keep the domain with its current registrar and the email with its existing provider. We review the records and access before a website move. Do not cancel a working mailbox or domain simply because the website is changing.

Can you set up business inboxes for my team?

Ask us about the number of inboxes, your current domain and any messages you need to keep. We confirm the provider, mailbox limits, licences, migration scope and support before setup. Automated mailbox purchase is not currently offered on this page; an enquiry starts the assessment.

What happens when I want to leave or change provider?

The agreed service terms should explain cancellation, export and transfer arrangements. Domain ownership, licence commitments and prepaid periods matter, so these are recorded before setup. Contact us before cancelling related services so we can discuss a handover that accounts for the website and email.
